Good Times, Good Times

I was stoked tonight when I turned the television on, to find that the original Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was on ABC Family. I have to say that I still laugh at some of the lines, even though I've seen that version of the movie a dozen times. Here a couple that made me laugh. If you read these and can picture what part of the movie they are from, you get bonus points.

"If she's a lady, then I'm a Vermicious Kunid."
"The snozberries taste like snozberries"
"She must have been a bad egg"
"No... Don't ... Stop..."
"Button, button, who's got the button" (Kimbasa, that's for you)

HAHA! YES! (Confession time though...I didn't know until a few years ago that that line was in WWCF... I had heard it in Alice in Wonderland- TweedleDee/Dum...but it's fun nonetheless!)

The "Vermicious k'nid" line is said about Veruca after she tells her dad that she wants an Oompa-loompa.

"Bad Egg" was also about Veruca after she went from the hatching room to the furnace via the agrbage chute."

Snozberry is a walpaper flavor ("Who ever heard of a snozberry?")

"Please...Don't...Stop..." is.....ummmmm...I forgot, but I know Willy Wonka said it. Same with "button button..."

Interesting side note:

Did you know that the writer of WW&tCF. Roald Dahl was a top-level spy for the British in WWII? He actually spied on America during that time.

Check out the article:

One of the greatest movies of all time. One of my favorite movies! I'm actually reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Max right now each night at bedtime.

"...Vermicious Kunid..." is said by Grandpa Joe about Veruca when they're all getting on the boat.

"The snozberries..." is said by Willy when he's showing everyone the lickable wallpaper.

"...bad egg..." is said by Willy abou Veruca after she goes down the garbage chute.

"No...don't...stop..." is Willy's reaction to Mike Teevee sending himself through Wonka-vision.

"Button, button..." is sad by Willy when he's showing everyone the Everlasting Gobstopper machine.

My favorite line is, "the suspense is terrible, I hope it will last."
