And I Thought I Was A Multi-Tasker
My wife would probably laugh and agree with me when I say "I'm a little slow." I had no idea that you could do more than just drive from the driver's seat of a moving vehicle. I've heard the stories, read the statistics, and watched the videos on Youtube, but I had no idea that Arizona drivers were really that bad. I spend a good bit of time behind the wheel everyday, and the past week I've been intrigued to watch other drivers as they sit in traffic. I watch people text message, shave (not just guys), read books and magazines, and even watch television, but yesterday I saw something that took the cake. I was going through McDonald's drive-thru (getting a Vanilla Iced Coffee), and saw a young girl driving in her car and reading the Bible. I am a firm advocate of doing a daily devotional, but behind the wheel of a car may be a bit much. I suppose if she hits another car, while doing her devotions, it could be deemed the Christian equivalent of declaring Jihad on the "Motorist-Infidel." Maybe if we all put down the distractions while we drive, we could all reach our destinations sooner. This has been a public service announcement from a concerned driver. Thank you for listening.
