My Infection

Catchy title, huh? Saturday afternoon at Urgent Care I was diagnosed with bronchitis (although the hypochondriac in me says there is still a possibility of Sars or Bird Flu). I have just about zero energy, and by the time this blog is complete, I will probably be crawling back to bed. I did want to share some observations that I have from watching television the past few days.
1. Disney channel(s) have more good shows on, per capita, than any other station, even at 3 in the morning
2. Every other commercial on televsion (other than Disney) is trying to tell me that I am broken... Or at least I must be, because all I keep hearing about is how I need to change my hair color, whiten my teeth, take pills to sleep better, and lose a significant amount of weight.
3. I am perplexed how I can watch Geico, Progressive, State Farm, and the General all make the claim that I can save over $350 per year over other insurance companies. I want to know which of their competitors charges such ridiculus rates that make a $350 difference to anyone.
4. The Burger King "figure" from the commercials creeps me out -- Big Time! It doesn't matter if he's playing football, greeting someone at their window sill with a breakfast sandwich or being a futuristic robot, he's disturbing and needs to go away! And that's not the medication talking.

Nothing as sissy as "bronchitis" could've kept you from melting faces this past weekend. My money's on Bird Flu or Choked On Vomit... not your own vomit...

Have you been gardening again?

Is Anthrax poisoning possible? I'm just wondering if we've ruled that out yet. And phone conversations are the closest we're getting until we rule out bird flu.
