Subliminally Speaking
I am always amazed how the brain works. Common everyday messages can be decoded by different people, and take on different meanings based on what is said (or read). Men have a specific way of saying what is on our mind and hearing only what we want to hear. We grunt through life with child-like ignorance, making us believe that somehow, through osmosis , sleeping in the same room as our wives will make us more coherent of her thoughts and feelings between bedtime and morning. Sickness is what it is! Of course, upon waking-up in the morning, I find myself rubbing my belly, and wondering why the conversation we had the night before seem to have totally different implications. She asked for more help around the house with dinner, and all I seemed to hear is "Dinner is Spaghetti with Prego and garlic bread." Of course she was looking for a... "Momma-mia, how can I be of service, my Little Italian Chef?" Isn't it funny how some people can read between the lines and for others you have to spell it out. By the way, I'm gonna be a Daddy in September.
