Things I'm Thankful For , Part4

My beautiful wife has graciously read all of my other "Things I'm Thankful For," and never asked me why I haven't mentioned her (even in the 'family' post). Well, here is her moment in the limelight.
I met Nik eleven years ago on the volleyball court at Grand Canyon Univ. and after convincing her to break up with her current "boyfriend", I was able to talk her into going to the Winter formal with me (eleven years ago, almost to the day). In fact, while we were decorating the Christmas tree last week, I pulled out a blue bulb that we had gotten at the formal. It was funny to think that we have a hundred ornate ornaments on the tree, but that is probably one of the most special to me because of the wonderful memory that accompanies it. We married on May 20, 2000 and we are now the proud parents of a three month old.
Nikki is the most amazing wife and mother that I could ever ask for. She has a capacity for love and patience that runs deeper than I could ever hope to have for myself. Her handling of running a preschool, taking care of a baby, and still having time and energy to love me is a gift that few people possess.
I can't wait to continue doing all the crazy things we did before Septmber, but now we get to include our little Sweet Pea in our adventures. Love ya Baby!

I can't believe it's been 11 years babe! It seems like only yesterday that you were walking me back to my dorm and taking me to the winter formal! Love you!
