The Longest Yard
Our friends Michael and Heidi have been waiting a long time to become parents, and barring no setbacks, tomorrow morning they will be the proud parents of Harrison Michael Gray. After a relatively short, unexpected adoption process, they were chosen by a young lady in Salt Lake City to be the mother of the child she gave birth to this morning. In Utah, the mother is given 24 hours to change her mind in the adoption process, and we're approaching the half way point. It's impossible to understand what they're feeling, because I know that Nik and I are almost sick to our stomaches with anticipation. I think it will be hard to sleep tonight, and the anticipation of great news tomorrow is just about more than we take. What the Gray's are going through emotionally right now has to be something that very few people will ever be able to understand. After years of hopes and prayers; peaks and valleys; and the general emotional roller coaster that goes along with their struggles to have children, it would be such an amazing event to have a third person in the Gray family. Let the countdown continue!
PS to the Birth mother: I know you probably don't read my blog... but giving the gift of life into Michael and Heidi's hands would empower this amazing child to become the full man that God would intend him to become. What an incredible gift of life for such a worthy couple!

Yeah, buddy. Its been a week since that photo was taken.
Thanks for coming over on the way home from the airport to see the little guy. I look froward to putting him in the outfit he got from you two.
