Global Warming?

For the past year, I have listened to the rederick that has been thrown-around regarding global warming. I have listened to the mainstream media worship at the altar of Al Gore. I have watched famous icons go out and buy Toyota Prius' and tote the fact that they are reducing their "carbon footprint." Yet now I find myself wondering where Al Gore was today when we dipped into the 60's here in Phoenix at the end of May.

Here are some things to ponder when it comes to global warming:

1. Do I want to turn in my man-card and be caught in a Prius.
2. Do you want to become part of a trendy buzz word. (Didn't we learn something from Pogs, Pet Rocks, leg warmers, and large-poofy bangs.)
3. If scientists who study the earth's patterns can't come to a definitive answer, how can we blindly accept a politician's opinion.
4. It is ironic to me that every time there is a global warming conference, there are record low temperatures somewhere in the world. (It's ironic and it's true)
5. Al Gore can't lose. If our temps in 08 go down, he can gloat that what he said made a difference. If temps go up in 08, it just mean that he can make more million dollars speeches about saving the earth.

As for me, on May 22nd, 2008, I am keeping my carbon footprints inside, because my carbon toes are cold.

If Al gore is smart enough to create the internet, of course he can be an expert on global warming.

quite frankly, the instability of arizona's climate is caused by the increase in the earth's core temperature resulting in a loss of the homeostasis of the earth's weather patterns, thus resulting in cooler temperatures during the summer season, warmer temperatures during the winter season, plus unpredictable and severe natural disasters...hence, the major tornado systems we are seeing in the midwest. the melting of the polar ice cap is causing a rise in global sea levels which is adversely affecting the alaskan king crab population in the bering sea thus resulting in more disappointing hauls for the captains and crews aboard the vessels being filmed for the hit discovery channel program, deadliest catch...which is resulting in fewer viewers and less advertising dollars which is contributing to the economic recession...thus driving the government to issue tax stimulus checks in an effort to correct the problem which in turn has provided people with the money needed to purchase fast food loaded with trans fats that is causing an increase in obesity if today's children and youth.

by the way, i don't believe a word of what i just wrote, but i'm sure al gore would buy it hook, line and sinker! good day, gentlemen.

I hate to say it, but Brent's reply was pretty hysterical! He should be proud, he made a great connection. Who knew fighting global warming would also help fight childhood obesity!
